I have a very clear memory of our first conversation about Saffron.
It was September of last year, and I was walking through my neighborhood on the phone with Rory talking about dedicating some time to start work on our own software product. “I’d love to have an initial version of this live by the first week of November,” I said. “Yeah,” replied Rory, “that should be doable.”
Eight months later, I’m insanely excited to announce that Saffron is officially open for public registrations.
I can’t even explain how big of a learning experience it has been to write our own software product; I’ve been involved in the execution of more than a hundred software applications in my career, but this is the first time seeing a product of our own through from concept to design to full implementation, sharing it with beta testers, giving product demos and helping onboard new customers. It is like nothing I’ve ever done before and is, quite frankly, a rush.
If you’re following along here we’re going to have a lot more to say about Saffron over the coming months and years; There will be technical blog posts and feature announcements, new platforms and integrations, success stories and everything else. But today I just wanted to simply say “we’re here.”
We’re here with Saffron, ready to help make email useful again.
If you and your team are tired of wrestling with shared email—whether it’s just two of you or a whole department—we’d love to show you what we’ve been working on and how Saffron can make your customers happier and your team more productive.
